Please feel welcome to contact me in spite of ability to pay. I do offer a limited number of partial scholarships for women who need them.
Would you like to reduce your fees by 10%? After you sign your service contract, you have the option to donate 10% of your total to either North Rome Christian School Scholarship Fund, Mama Project, or The Endless Mountains Pregnancy Care Center .You will simply need to provide a check to me made out to one of these non-profits and I will deduct that amount from what you owe (up to 10%). This makes a portion of your fees tax-deductible!
Birth doula services are available for your birth at home, at Memorial Hospital in Towanda, Pennsylvania; Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania; or Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, New York. Other locations will be considered based on travel distance (additional mileage fees may apply).
Antepartum Services: for the mommy-to-be on bedrest or restricted activity. $15-$25/hour depending on your needs. A non-refundable deposit of 5 hours payment is due at the signing of the contract and will be applied to the first hour home orientation and to the last four hours of service.
Postpartum Services; For the first days and weeks after childbirth. $15-25/hour depending on your needs. A non-refundable deposit of 5 hours payment is due at the signing of the contract and covers the first hour home orientation and the last four hours of in-home care.
Birth Doula Support: This is billed as a package. The following fees apply to families using The Sixth Day Childbirth Birth Doula Services for the first time (repeat clients please see below). The first interview to discuss Doula services, ask questions, and see if you feel we would make a good team is free. My fee includes: three home visits (at least one of which must be BEFORE the birth); on-call 24/7 for your birth from 2 weeks prior to your due date until delivery. Phone consultations, research, handouts, and samples (when available); constant attendance at your side through labor and birth, and help with breastfeeding and adjustment in the first hour postpartum if desired; on-call the first three postpartum weeks to provide phone help with newborn care and recovery from childbirth. The fee for a Labor/Birth package is $645. A $40 discount is available for signing the contract and completing the first visit or class immediately after the free interview. A non-refundable deposit of $180 is due at the signing of the contract. The remainder of the fee is due by the mother's 37th week of pregnancy.
Birth Doula Package for clients who have birthed with Sixth Day before: You may utilize the above fee schedule if desired, or opt to skip the pre-birth visit and save $40 (I will simply update your chart over the phone). You may also opt to eliminate the postpartum visits if you are comfortable with newborn care and feeding, and what to expect during recovery. This saves you another $80. Your total without any in-home visits before or after birth is $525 and includes on-call time from 2 weeks prior to your due date until delivery; doula's presence with you during labor/birth and the first hour postpartum; three weeks on-call phone availability for postpartum questions.
In-home childbirth education is available at the rate of $40 for each ninety-minute class. Add your pregnant friends or family for $10/each class and split the cost!
Pregnancy Loss Support provided by phone or email is free.
For in-home education, antepartum and postpartum services, an additional mileage fee will be added for travel outside a fifteen mile radius from my home. This is assessed at .40/mile for any miles over fifteen both ways (for example, if you live 25 miles from me, I would only charge you the additonal 10 miles each way at .40/mile or $8.00/day)
